Fall Comes For Another Man

So here I am again

You’ve left me for another man

I should’ve stepped more out of line

Guess I wasn’t bad enough this time

Because nice guys finish last

I’ll remember that

I should’ve known before

When you were so damn short

“But we’re still young”

I still feel like pulling the trigger

Of the gun against my head

While you lay next to him in bed

But what should I know

You made your mind you want to go

And you say the problems me

It hurts but I can see

And here’s another ode

To when you would come to me

And tell me how you feel

And that your love for me was real

But I guess that was a lie

Because now you’re with some other guy

While I’m here solemn and alone

Spending everyday stuck at home

But you don’t care

So why should I stop and stare

When you pass me by

Your head resting on his side

At least you’re happy now

I still don’t know how

I could leave this be

Like you did to me

And you say that you’ve changed

But the damage has already been done

You say you’re not the same

But you’re still out having fun

Don’t pretend like you cared for me

If you can’t practice what you plead.
